At the moment, I'm curious to see all the stuff BB is bringing with the long overdue OS 2.0 tomorrow. I'm sure many of you got the Pbook when it was on sale from RFD, so good place to discuss any interesting features or recommended apps

Most of EA's iPhone games that I've played have been pretty great.

For android users... the Android Market is switching to "Google Play" so they put a whole bunch of apps on sale for $0.49 to celebrate, I guess: https://play.google.com/store/apps/coll ... ure=banner

Where's my Water is only $0.25. There will be a new $0.25 app of the day each day for the next week.

Also, Need for Speed and Dead Space are $0.49 as well.

Some new $0.49 apps were added.

Today's $0.25 apps:

Paper Camera

Homerun Battle 3D

Edit: While I was on the "Google Play" site, I realized Zenonia 4 came out (and is free), so I downloaded that too.

iPhone users; play Nimble Strong. It's an awesome and addictive bar tending game that actually teaches you how to make real drinks. Dark and Stormy has quickly become my new favorite mix-drink thanks to this game!

Hmm, now this sounds like something Id like. I got iTunes card from C-mas still. Will look into this, thanks

Tetris on Playbook is a blast. The magic mode is cool with all the power-ups.

Wordstone is a decent free game similar to Tetris, but using words, not shapes.

Kinda bored with modern combat 2 - was a free DL the one day, saw it on RFD. It's pretty much a copycat of COD, with similar music, cut scenes, etc. Controls are decent, but also annoying at times.

Found that biggers games I dont really enjoy on the tablet, I prefer smaller/obscure/casual titles. Racing games may be one exception though

That seems to be the thing for tablets/handhelds, the simplier puzzle/problem solving games. There's some aspects of the phone features involved (touch or motion), but mostly you use your brain. I never liked playing the console/PC type games on mobile, feels awkward.

tested out few games on Xperia Play, I cant say I like it much....
The "Analog sticks" is touch sensitive. it's a little better than using it on iPad/iPod, but not a lot better.

I tested out Dead Space and NFS:HP which both I completed on PS3. I played a little NFS:Run on iPad and Xperia Play is easier with control compare to iOS, but not a huge deal. Dead space dual analog stick works, but awkward.

Both iOS and Android should do one simple thing..... make it possible to pair PS3/Xbox controller to it so I can play games using my controller. I dont mind carry an extra controller if thats possible. 10" is a great size for portable gaming but relying all controls on touch is not going to work for many gamers.
